The end of half term and thinking about getting back tomorrow. Looking forward to the new groups - the group room is ready and we will be starting the new class groups, the parent carer group and the 'discovery group' for the new children.
During the last week of the half term we had a wonderful celebration to culminate our work and assemblies for 'Black History Month' that we called 'cultural diversity month'. During the month we did work about the cultures and communities we come from as members of Gloucester House, we learned about civil rights history, we learned about indigenous communities in Australia (the Aborigines)...and on the last Thursday of the half term our parents and carers joined us. We cooked international dishes, parents and carers brought dishes and in the afternoon we made Divas as it was Diwali.
Looking forward to getting back and seeing everyone tomorrow.
